MS Windows XP Updater icon constantly on

Hi,

For the last 2 weeks my update icon has been showing constantly on, even though I am fully up to date because I did update manually last night for example. It still says it wants to install the update which I have already installed and even when I shutDown, the turn off icon has the option to shutdown after finishing installation of update thing. But, it does not do that and next time Im shutting down it repeats this all again! Could I re-install it? or if not How could I turn it off? Any help will be much appreciated.

If nothing else try either updating through your Control Panel ICON or go to M$ web site and try to update, if you already have the updates installed it wont reinstall them but may reset your ICON.

 

What is the update?

 

Its MSXML 4.0 SP2 Security Update KB927978

 

The icon remains still after doing this like 3 times

 

Download it from microsoft.com, install it, and post what the error is.
