MSASCui.exe unable to locate component

the msg I get is: this app failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found reinstalling this application may fix the problem I haven't a clue what this is or where to find it, comes on when I start my computer in a pop up

 

It is part of Windows Defender. Using windows explorer find C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exe.manifest and delete it.

Restart the computer and see if that solves the problem.

Thank you so much, you are fantastic! It was very upsetting & driving me crazy.

Can I pick your brain some more ummm Firefox on another computer when I go into it to read my e-mails another smaller window appears then it will go away if I click the x top right it keeps reappearing all over and right in the middle of the msg

One last thing I have another computer when I turn it on it has a user name and asks for a p/w, don't know who put it on either but now I can't get into the computer as I don't know what the p/w is to get on the computer. Any way to get past this or find out what the p/w word is to get into the computer, another issue driving me crazy

We need to know what the box that comes up say's. Is it a "windows" box and does it have anything written on it?

Try either none or just hit enter for the password issue.

It doesn't stay on the screen long it comes and goes top right says cooliris it is a miniture view of the page I'm in it takes of 1/2 of the e-mail part of the screen to the left of cooliris it has a back arrow then some other symbol thenSHARE then an X I just noticed something it comes up when I move my mouse over the supject title of the e-mail only and it is a minimized version of the e-mail but if I try to open it it disappears this only happens on my one computer not the other one.

You should be able to disable it someway.
