.MSC won't Open [Win7 x64]

    I seem to be experiencing a new issue with my laptop. Services.msc will open and close really quick, and when running gpedit.msc i get the MMC error which halts. I have done a sfc / scannow and that has not worked. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

    I feel it could be a files association issue, but I have no idea where to start in order to fix that?
