   WinXP Home: msconfig opens OK, and you can check or uncheck boxes in both Startup and Services, but when you go to Apply or Close (or click OK) it just sits there and doesn't close or do anything.... any ideas????

   It turns out the user account was a limited account, and WinXP was kinda hosed... a repair install, and changing to full priveleges fixed everything...
