Hi, all. It's been some years since I've been on this forum. Here's my question: I can't reset MSCONFIG from Selective Startup to Normal Startup. I get a message that the operation is denied since I need to be logged on as administrator. The problem is I AM logged on as administrator. I can download programs, adjust services and do everything else an administrator can EXCEPT adjust MSCONFIG. Any ideas?? Thanks.....

If you type msconfig in the search box (Windows 7) and then right click msconfig.exe and select run as administrator, does it work?

Thanks, Tgell. I just read your other posts. I'll follow through with what you suggest. I'm logging off now, will return tomorrow. Thanks again...Ed

Well, I'm back. I was able to stop the printer service from running, as suggested in that link you supplied. I tried to configure msconfig again but was still denied access. I'll try the other things tomorrow. Good nite!.....Ed
