Msdxm6.ocx Missing??

    While trying open a new downloaded game I get this error message:

    Error changing display resolution, component 'Msdxm6.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

    Msdxm.ocx is not missing but I can not find out any info for Msdxm6. Can someone help me???

    Windows XP
    I actually use Firefox not IE
    The game is Remedy ( I just finished a game by the same maker so I don't know why this one isn't working)

    I am having the same problem. I use firefox also. It is a game from IWin games from the same maker as Remedy. Game name Hope Springs Eternal. Also a Carol Reed Mystery. Have played 3 other games from this maker no problem. My system is Windows Vista 64 bit.
    I hope you can help. The game site could not help me and said it had never seen this error message before.

    I know this threads a bit old but this shows up as the first result in google and would be good for future reference.

    Msdxm6.ocx = Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0

    MSDXM6 from Microsoft.com

    Downloading from the above link and reinstalling should help.
