MSE - Problem?

I update MSE daily, At least once a day it changes to yellow and tells me my PC is at risk and to run a scan. It takes two hours to run a scan but nothing shows up.

Is something conflicting with the program? Any suggestions?

Vista 64 bit, Word2010, IE and Chrome. (IE enabled to make sure Windows Update works.)

 

Make sure you set the MSE scheduled scan to perform a quick scan at intervals.
A quick scan needs to be run every day after updating.

 

If you happen to be using CCleaner, uncheck "MS Antimalware" under the Cleaner>Windows>Applications section. When checked, it dumps the logs from MSE and it thinks it's never been run.
