Tonight isn't my night I guess. Went to check an error for my brother's problem and on my desktop I'm getting random FF redirects, went to scan with MES and it says that it's turned off?!

Haven't been to any sketchy sites, or anything like that.
Most likely should have posted in the Malware section, crap.
    What should I do?
    Thanks,

Open the Run box and enter services.msc
Check if there are entries for:
    Security Center
    Windows Defender
    Windows Firewall
If not, then I suspect your PC is infected with ZeroAccess and friends.
Regardless, I'd post in the Malware forum.

    Hi Spock,

I've been having problems with MSE tonight too on the two computers I have it installed on.

I am unable to get the latest definitions. I have uninstalled it for the time being, planning to troubleshoot it a bit more later.

I've had the MSE is turned off on 2 computers. Replaced it with Avast Free on one and uninstalled/reinstalled on the other. Got the message once and restarted it and so for so good. But, Malware forum sounds good to me too.
