    Hi

These are Windows installer files and are legit in the main, especially if they are from reputable sources as in Microsoft etc

Sadly Norton is funky in its scanning at times to what is safe and what is not, so what is your version or Norton and is it up to date with definition files.

As for deleting then yes you can as they are mainly the installer files for an application or software package, but I would be wondering why the Norton you have is singling these files out as its not generally normal.

thank you GP for replying... sorry that I put this in the wrong area...realized that afterward... I was thinking hard drive....OY
I have norton 360 and have updated... so it is good I do not have to worry about these files...
did not know if somehow these were junking up my system as it has been failing lately now and then....got rid of most of my java that might have been the cause....who knows these days
sorry I'm not here more often, but I do trust and respect this forum and glad that I found it so many years ago
