I bought an AMD 64 3700+ socket 754 to upgrade from my AMD 64 3200+ on my MSI K8T-Neo FI2SR board. I checked the scpecs on my board and it is compatible with CPU's above the 3400+. The specs are here: Spec Sheet.
I bought the processor and when I put it in and started my computer the monitor stayed blank. Nothing came up and the light on my monitor stayed orange. I called AMD and they told me to send it to them and they sent me a new one. I have had 2 new processors sent to me by AMD and none of them have worked. The thrid one has been sitting on my desk for about 3 months now but I figured I would try askin someone here instead of some tech guy making 2.50 and hour. If anyone has any ideas of what might be going on please let me know.
