MSI mainboard 845EMaxI

I purchased this used motherboard (like new) and it is an MSI-6566E (v1.x) ATX
version 1.0 G52-MA00565 mainboard.
But I believe the AMBIOS is screwed up.
I'm looking to download or purchase firmware and it is :

P4s5a/DX+ 600
686 AMBIOS 1999
BRGO 7778

If it can be downloaded how do I install it since the motherboard doesn't
recognize the Hard Drive. The Hard Drive is recognized in the secondary master
but not in the Primary master.
After entering the CMOS features I enter AUTO under Primary IDE Master
and it prompted "not installed" but when I did it under the Secondary IDE
Master it prompted the HDD numbers (cylinder, heads, etc).
But it's not going to boot unless it is on the Primary IDE master.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

One more thing, can the bios be upgraded past 1999?:confused

This looks like the board but I'm not sure it is a BIOS problem.

Are you sure you have the jumpers set properly. Try using the secondary cable on the primary connector to rule out a bad cable.
