msn displayed in chinese

    os windows xp (English)

    msn always displays in chinese, as i do not have chinese software display comes up with a mixture of chinese and an assortment of different characters
    How can I change this so it displays in english like everything else
    I do live in taiwan and probably this is the reason, but why only MSN
    Will be grateful for any help i can get.
