rolleyesrolleyes My OS: WinXP Home/SP2: In Add/Remove Programs.. under Add/Remove Windows Components, MSN Explorer is listed (20 MB). I do not know if this program is necesssary since I already have AOL. Is MSN Explorer like a web browser program...similar to AOL? I am thinking this is what it is, so I tried to "remove/uninstall" it from Windows Components. I put a check mark in the box next to it then click Next. It runs (or installs??) something and the message then is:
"You have successfully completed the Windows Components Wizard".
However, MSN is still listed in Windows Components and I cannot Remove/uninstall it. If it is not necessary to have this program then I would definitely like to remove it completely from my system. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Did you reboot after you removed it?

Nothing actually gets removed from Windows components like they do in Add/Remove programs. A check in the box indicates that you have (or want) it installed, and a cleared checkbox indicates that you want (or have) it uninstalled.

FWIW, there is a wiki article on MSN Explorer.
