MSN/internet explorer problems

hi,
im gonna try and give the best description of this problem i have, i tried getting it to work so i could get the error code #, but it wouldnt work...

backup info- i use firefox, and mozilla for internet, and i tried to delete IE

alright, when i try to sign in on msn it says that im not connected with my internet, and to chnge the settings in my IE to work offline

but i dont want to do any of that, i want to get rid of IE all together

can someone please tell me how i can change my internet user thingy (computer nub) to mozilla

If you do, you have no access to Windows Updates. You can select any browser as your default and only open IE to run WU.

 

How do i set a different browser as my default??
also, it wouldnt be wise to completely delete IE?? Everytime i open it a huge amount of junk pops up-spyware and whatnot.

for firefox

Tools > Options Select general, there is an option there for default browser, check that and Firefox should be the default.
