MSN Live Messenger Problem

Hey everbody,

I'm writing this to ask you guys if you can help me with a problem that I've got with WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER.

I've had WLM for several months now, and it's run faultlessly for that time, but starting today (Monday, 21st Aug. 2006), it has been causing me problems.

It worked perfectly fine this morning, but when I came back from univeresity and signed in at home, my computer came up with blue screens, and then shut down.

I tried this about two or three times, and it kept happening. I uninstalled WLM, and signed in with old-fashioned Windows Messenger - Absolutely no problem.

I then uninstalled WLM, restarted my computer, downloaded WLM again and reinstalled it. Then, I signed in, on WLM, just to see what would happen.

Again, I got a blue screen after a few minutes, (about 1-2 minutes)...and my computer shut down.

What the hell is going on!? Can somebody help me!? I DON'T WANNA LOSE MY WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER!!!

Well, I googled "Windows Live Messenger blue screen help" and found a forum topic with a possible solution, that being to go into Personal Settings/Sharing Folders and untick "Use sharing folders"
