MSN MESSENGER 7.5 Receiving audio but no video

Hi,

The person I am chatting with can see and hear me. I can hear them but I cannot see them.

I am running Windows XP SP2. I am using high speed cable.I disabled windows firewall, firmware on router is completely up to date on my side. MSN Messenger is completely up to date.

Any idea if the issue is probably on my side or their side?

 

Well, video is not being delivered from their end to yours, so start at the beginning, and work your way down the line.

1. Does their camera work at all? If not, troubleshoot the camera.
2. If so, does it work for applications other than MSN? If not, troubleshoot MSN

If that checks out, THEN begin troubleshooting your end!
