MSN Messenger 7.5

OK messenger 7.5 doesn't work, get an error about the service being down, although windows messenger and msn messenger version 7.0 works fine. Well I say fine, version 7.0 is very unstable and closes every half hour or so. I seem to have tried everything, checked firewall etc.
Any ideas?
It was working fine on sunday night, came to it yesterday and it didn't work, still doesn't work today.

 

I find that when that happens to me, exiting MSN 7.5 , closing out outlook and terminating the MSword process and then restarting MSN 7.5 seems to clear up the problem.
