MSN Messenger help

I am using MSN Messenger on a Win ME machine, I selected the option to not have me remembered, but everytime I go back on, my name is automatically there.
Is there a way I can stop this?
I have looked all through the options, but could not find any way to do it.

Well, maybe that came out wrong, it was just a figure of speech. Meant in the nicest way possible of course, sucker.

 

LOL, it didn't come out wrong. I was laughing. But I'm laughing even harder because this is a Win2k machine so you may be the last sucker using ME. j/k

 

Oh my, okay, I take the sucker bit back now then.

It is hard to help out, when users have already tried any suggestions we have posted. Posting everything that one has tried in their description of the problem, can narrow down a new attempted fix!

I could not see the options for Remember Me, Remember my Password and Sign me in automatically or Forget me.
Maybe they are for the current version, I am using Version 7.

 

You might try updating.

I believe version 7 is the latest version you can have on an ME machine.

 

Try the method below, see if it makes a difference.

does ME have a similar funtion to the XP .net passport? would this not auto enter information?

im not sure on this mind i have never used ME at all

 

Tried your suggestion Matacumbie, still have the same problem.

I am now thinking of locating where the information is stored and manually deleting it everytime.

 

You could try downloading Windows Live Messenger from here:

It's only available for XP, otherwise I would, thanks for the suggestion though.
