msn.messenger problem

i have just loaded all the service packs (for windows98 se english) via a compilation site found on majorgeeks. now messenger 6.2 will not sign in due to "error code 0x81000370"

searched a few 'help' sites for the solution but to no avail. cannot find the compilation site again either.

not sure which one of the three, two of three, or all three solved the problem, but today is a better day!
