msn trouble

Anyone having trouble getting to MSN homepage? I can't get it, keeps telling me 'can't find server' Can't check my mail!

 

Yes, it took me some trys to get into MSN groups and it ran slow.... but it did eventually let me in.

 

I keep trying also having trouble getting on websites, can get on but then it will disappear and 'server cannot be found' keeps coming up for everything, even my rr webmail! I did a spybot check, only 6 things found. We have Norton antivirus. Any clues?

I checked out the website and it was a little intimidating for a non computer whiz like me, but I somehow got onto microsoft updates and downloaded them, and whether it was a coincidence or not, I was then able to get to all my stuff! Would that be just a coincidence or did I need those updates to be able to get the websites that I was having trouble getting to before? I am lost when it comes to alot to do with these computers but I am learning a little at a time and willing to learn, just so afraid to goof it up! Thanks!
