When I connect to the internet, I get a message that ask me to download the lasted version of messenger. This as to be MSN messenger, because I uninstalled Windows Messenger. Yet the box says it is updating windows messenger. I have downloaded the update at least 4 times. Yet I still get the box when I connect. What is going on?

its possible that you keep downloading an old version of it... check the version and build... msn messenger is at version 7 by now i think

It's still a beta release however there is a minor update from 6.2
Just uininstall/install it completely and see if it gives you any problems then or just simply tick of the box not to remind you 'in so long' when it prompts you to install a newer version.

I figured it out. The program would try to restart my laptop and cut me off the internet, without giving me any notice. So when Juno asked me if I wanted to close out, I clicked "NO". And each time I connected, messenger thought I had not updated.
