msnmsgr.exe 100% CPU Speed

my computer works fine until i start msn messenger, then it goes real slow and freezes from time to time. I discovered that in Task Manager, it howes msnmsgr.exe is using 99 - 100%. msnmsgr.exe refuses to end when i try to End Process ( no error messages, simply ignores my commands) Can anyone help me??? here is my hijackthis report:

Hi

Which version MSN Messenger do you have? make sure you have latest.

But I have suspicion that as you have at least 3 Antivirus applications installed or not uninstalled correctly ( if you have uninstalled some ) as in AVG, Nod32 and Norton, please remove two of them and you may find Messenger will speed up and not hang with high CPU usage.

Had NOD32 and AVG 7.5 installed and running on my system. Uninstalled one of them (NOD32) and i no longer have this high CPU speed problem. Many thanks for your help ;-)
