Mssing PCI FLASH Memory driver

hello I am new here. I have an acer laptop. Aspire 5100, which I upgraded to win7 from vista. the problem is its missing the driver for the pci memory flash. I have searched all over the web for it but no luck, even acer is a dead end. can someone help, thanks a million.

Start - Run type this mmc devmgmt.msc - Ok - right click to yellow device - Properties - Details - scroll down the arrow finding Hardware ids - there is a code in the box , we need it ( select all - copy - paste ) the code here :wave

PCI FLASH Memory this is all that shows up. does that help any.

If this model has a card reader, you need the driver for the cardbus to get this squared away.

Look on the drivers list for it.

Hi

What version Windows 7 did you update to as in 32bit or 64bit?
Was this an actual update over Vista or a clean new install?

Acer do not list Windows 7 drivers for your model laptop so this "maybe" difficult to resolve but not always impossible.

You could initially try to install the Vista 32bit driver for the Cardbus HERE

May need to install it by right clicking the Setup file once you have unzipped the drivers and choosing Properties > Compatibility and choose Vista and then install. Then check Device Manager for any yellow ! marks by any device and let us know what they are.
