I switched a scanner to a my dell XP computer, it copies and prints, but when I try to just scan, a message comes up about msxml. When I open TurboTax, it says that a msxml 3 component wasn't installed.

I've updated msxml, but I don't know what else to do.

Here are the errors and what msxml I have installed:

And sorry if this is in the wrong place. I don't know what msxml even is, so... yeah.

    Hi

You should already have MSXML ( basically its a way of allowing interoperability between hardware and software, used a fair bit with document standards ) on your XP install, but if for some reason you dont or its corrupted, try one of the later service packs for MSXML3 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...91-052B-42FF-9674-F752BDCA9582&displaylang=en and see if this fixes it,

at times some applications prefer the one that was written at the time they were written and dont play nice with the newer versions ( MSXML is at version 6 now )
