I've been turning out DVD's with 4 episodes per disc pretty regularly - 14 so far - using DVD Flick.

But my last one turned out not so well. When I put it in any DVD player it says "Bad disc" or "Please eject this disk" or some variation of that. Putting it in the computer starts Windows Media Player and plays the movies. I thought the failure was a fluke and made another run and got exactly the same result.

The project consisted of 3 AVI's and 1 FLV, so as per recommendation I set the Target Format to "mixed." Maybe DVD Flick has a bug about doing "mixed?" Before I got "smart" I did some mixed discs with a single Target Format setting instead of mixed - no issues.

Should I just go back to my "ignorant" ways and hope it works out with only the NTSC setting? (I've thrown away too many discs already.)

If your dvd player is NTSC then you should indeed be using the NTSC only output setting.

Thanks. I knew _nothing_ about NTSC, etc. Just this little point gave me an idea how to understand what the DVD Flick instructions were jabbering about. Apparently Target Format is a reference to the "target machine," not the resources you just "targeted" on the hard drive.

BTW, DVD Flick has both NTSC and NTSC-film. Most of my resource files show NTSC-film settings (according to what I read about fps figures and a video file info utility). I see only a very small fractional fps difference. Is there a relevant difference between these or are they "peas in a pod", practically speaking?
