mud client on ubuntu 9.04

i am new to ubuntu, and i am trying to install a mud client i have downloaded tintin++ when i try to click on the icon it does nothing help please?

 

have you tried to start it from the command line?

 

how do i get to the command line i can't find it...

 

off the main menu it's called terminal
once the terminal is open

./tt++

to start TinTin++

Although, this is assuming you have installed it & not just trying to open the .tar.gz file you downloaded.

 

says no such file or directory

 

OK, so how did you install TinTin++

 

I went to the configure icon and right clicked went to open in terminal then had to type kildclient and it told me what to type.

Did you install from the repos using Synaptic?
whats the output from entering this into terminal

I am having a similar problem, I installed tintin++ through synaptic, but now it won't run. It doesn't show up anywhere in the Applications menu in the GUI, and when I go into the terminal and type ./tt++ it says no such file or directory.
