Multi-boot Flash Drive

Discussion in 'Software' started by HumbleServant1611, Jan 23, 2018.

  1. Hello Geeks,

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on multi-boot programs that I can put any bootable .ISO image I want on so when I go to service a clients computer I don't have a 100 USB flash drives I'm fiddling through. I ultimately want one USB for all my Windows .ISOs and one for RescueCD programs like Hiren's BootCD, AVG RescueCD, ESET NOD32, etc. That would make things so much easier and efficient. 2 Flash Drives for just about all my needs.

    Thanks For Any Suggestions

Very good question. Not sure if the Windows setup can read multiple and let you choose. I'm interested in the answer too and now have a new project to research.

Strangley enough, I just started doing this with yumi, and I will probably do the same with sardu, to see how they differ.
I had exactly the same problem- loads of usb sticks, stuff everywhere, and I had decided to put all my iso files on one larger stick, so that I can boot anyone from there.
I have also been putting different systems from XP TO W10, LINUX, ETC: in one partition with Windows 10 pro (I did not get on with Microsofts own version (using virtual box)
It does really help when checking systems out as you can flit between your present Windows, and others, including Linux versions, at a stroke.

  7. Sardu was decent but they now are only selling it. It’s not free anymore from what I can tell from there website. I used it but was not impressed, went to fined an update to see if they had fixed some bugs that’s how I found out. Never used Yumi, is that Linux base environment?

Yumi appears to take any iso, like you wanted to do.
I will have a further go with it,and let you know how it goes- I tend to take a bit longr than some, because Iwant to know more than I need to, I suppose.

It will install also Windows, I have to find a larger usb to try further- had not enough room on the one I tried.
