multi media audio contoller

    ok so here some more infor on my sound problem, its saying that theres no multi media audio contoller installed, so i asked the guy who made the comp what i need he said real tek ac 976, so i get that and install it, reboot, and nothing, soo heres my info on the motherboard, i tried their site but it says they dont offer drivers any more?

    intell brookdale 184 spe

    oh and it was working before i installed windows, so i know that its not hardware failure

    ive tried that, but everytime i try to run it to install it freezes at 94 percent, i have xp home edition by the way

    If you have any reference to an audio driver or device in device manager delete it and re-boot into Safe Mode and try installing it again.
