Multimedia Properties-Same 7 Drivers

Hi,
Have had a lot of problems with Sound and Drivers , installing and un installing but all that is sorted out and sound is perfect. But I have one little prob. remaining. In Multimedia Properties under Devices Tab in Audio Devices I have 7 of same name: PCTel Seriel Wave Device. I am trying to remove 6 But when I attempt to remove them, I am advised to remove them through Device Manager. Now there is only one listed in Device Manager and that is 7th one enabled and working Which is the only one listed in both places. I am not anxious to loose sound again since I am not too well informed on Drivers . I was thinking of removing via Wordpad or something like that I await your good advice as always

Specs: Win98SE, Win. Media Player, Processor Amd K6 (tm) 3DNow MMX 500MHz,Virus Scan AVG, Spybot TeaTimer, RAM192MB, Hard Disk 10GB.

Anyone willing to try answering this query as it is now 2wks since I posted same. I tried to remove them in "safe mode" but they are not lited when in that mode TY.
