I have three monitors at my office. I attempted to install MultiMon from the free downloads...during the installation process a window popped up letting me know an error occurred and would I like to "abort, retry or ignore". I attempted to download several times and the same error message occurred. How can this issue be fixed?

I did attempt to download from the majorgeeks.com site, but ran into problems.

Okay. Did you only try using one location when you tried downloading it multiple times? My question is whether or not one or all of the downloads aren't working for you on install.

Btw, what Operating System are you using?

Yes, used only one location. Using Windows 2007.

Which location did you choose? There are 4 including the one for Australia.

The one location may just not be working for you. Try using one of the other locations.

See if that makes a difference.

    Hi

By Windows 2007 I would guess you mean Windows 7? and is it 32bit or 64bit?

I have just tried the top link Authors Site and it downloads and installs ok, sadly cannot test as I dont have a multi monitor setup on this PC thats running Windows 7 x64.

When you are downloading are you using a download manager? what browser are you using? and when the download starts and you get the option to Run, Save, Cancel are you choosing Save or Run, if Run then choose Save and save it to your desktop and install (may need to install as Admin, Right click the setup file and choose Run as Administrator)

But as the Author of that application states it may not work on all Windows 7 setups

Thank you for your help. I tried your suggestion of saving it to my desktop then installing it as Admin. This is the error window that keeps popping up:

    C:\Program Files\MMTaskbar\MultiMon.exe

An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file:
    DeleteFile failed; code 5.
    Access is denied.

Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation.

    Two sentences stand out.
Since you tried to install it, maybe something is running.
Look over the page then head to the section of MM forum that is devoted to MultiMon
