Multiple Networks

Hello! Could anyone please help me solve my Multiple Networks problem in my laptop. I have a Windows Vista. There are two networks that shows up in my laptop. One is the one I normally use and working the other one is an Unidentified Network.

 

What is the problem you are having with the unidentified network?
You should be able to specify which network you connect to, as the preferred network or always connect to this network. That should be in the connection properties.

 

Like I said in my post its an Unidentified Network. And I can't trace which network it is connected to. Because of having multiple networks, it affects my Internet accessibility.

 

Anyone could please help me? Still experience multiple networks. Disabling the network won't help either. So is deleting the network.

 

If your talking about available wireless networks, it doesn't matter how many show up in the client window. You simply need to select which one you want to connect to and if it's not encrypted or blocked by MAC filtering, you will connect and be on the internet. The un-identified network is one that your computer sees but doesn't know the SSID for so you cant connect to it anyway. The un-identified network will not limit or block access to the other networks you see. Your wireless controller can only connect to one network at a time.

If you are unable to connect to the network you used to connect to, perhaps they enabled MAC filtering or encrypted the connection.
