Multiple OS with vista?

Is it possible for me to have to different windows operating systems on the same computer? Ive heard of linux/windows etc, but never of XP/vista (which is what i want) is this possible? I want to do this on an out-of-the-box laptop with vista on it.

Yep, (Older first, then each newer version progressively).

Always install the oldest OS first. atleast this is the case where concerning Windows 98, Me, 2000 and XP (98 needs to be on the first Partition, 2000 or XP doesnt care what partition)

I did it within the allowable time frame.

 

Try this guide. Many people dual boot because of lack of drivers, like I do.
