My machine's hard drives are set up the following way:

300gig with XP Professional: The main hard drive which system boots from
80gig with 2000 Professonal: My old hard drive, still has OS intact, is a slave
20gig with XP Professional: Another old drive, OS intact, is also a slave

Is there any way to configure a boot menu at startup to select which one I want to boot from? As of now, it just boots to the 300, but I would like the option to use 2000 as well (maybe even the 20 if I can get it to work).

How can I do this? Thanks for any help.

    in multi boots,
    example
    w98 on drive c:
    win 2000 on drive e:
    win xp on drive f:
in your case , you'll need a program called partition magic to set up the multiboot now.
in the example, 98 is installed firat, then, 2000, then xp.
xp setsup the boot loader during its install then.

You should already have one in your BIOS.

You can change the boot drive through your BIOS setting. The problem is that you have to reboot each time you change this setting.

Like Kjanz said, you can set up a multiboot with Partition magic.

I've been researching some stuff, and can't I just modify my boot.ini? I'm not sure exactly how to though. All of the OS's are already installed and dormant on slave HD's, I just want to option to boot to them, not to mess with partitions.

Oh, you're like me. You want to do it the easy way. In that case, employ the GAG boot manager, available for free. Works like a charm! Here, click on here:

You can just modify the boot.ini in the root of the C:\

If you can't figure it out, boot from the CD for the relevant system and run repair, ensure you select the correct installation for the operating system. Repair only the boot sector, this will add the correct entries in the boot.ini file and generate a menu when you boot that will be visable for 30 secs.

You will need to do this twice, once using Windows 2000 and Once using Windows XP CD. I assume that the Windows XP in your C:\ is already the default and setup.
