multiple web pages opening

I have a problem that has been getting worse leading me to believe it has either a virus or malware somewhere hiding on my laptop.

It started with my internet connection going on and off despite being wireless on rr high speed. The pages open fine, they load with good speed. However,...I often cannot keep a connection to the interent and feel sometimes as if some of the connection is being hijacked.

Then I noticed that I would play movies online and they would stop and start constantly. This moved onto my downloads that would download but not play properly...even movies online would just stop at random times.

Now my internet is going crazy. I will be closing a page down or opening one and all the sudden it will keep opening up web pages one right after another until I have to shut it down and do a hard boot.

I have ran avg, adaware, registry mechanic cleaner. I have ran bio demon something or other, hijack and looked at what it found. Nothing is popping up. I do the programs and it cleans out any problems but doesn't find any infections. It will be good for a short time then start right back up again.

How do I find out what is causing this and how do I isolate it if it is a virus before it destroys my computer?????
