No youtube clips, but these do it for me:

Smokin' Joe Kubek feat. Bnois King - Mean Old World (off Texas Cadillac)
SRV - Texas Flood (off album of the same name)

Look into Robben Ford's "Discovering The Blues", too.

Unreal, can you believe that man got booed out of Europe his first trip? Do you suppose they got annoyed with each other being so close practicing, being brothers and all? Had to start young to get that good.

Those are great, how on earth did I forget Etta, At last is the best, don't laugh but Celine Dion does a fantastic version of At Last too, had to double check to make sure it was her, although she does have a beautiful voice.
PS why only three, is thats all allowed?

If you like the Allman Brothers, you have to find the acoustic set Gregg Allman and Warren Haynes did in September 2006 at Red Rocks in Colorado. It's just unbelievable!

I'll look for it. Is it on youtube?

It might be, but I'm not too sure. The Allman Brothers allow fans to record their shows so I have ~600mb FLAC audio file of the performance. You might be able to find it on a torrent site somewhere or I could upload if you want. Know of any sites that I can drop that big of a file on? lol

No, and I probably couldn't play it anyway. The only computer I have right now is the work laptop, and I don't have admin rights. Thanks for the offer though. I'll keep looking...

Got some catching up to do on listening here. Sick at the moment and trying my best to stay out of that H place. Been trying not to brag that I haven't gone this year but thought a lot about it so it bit me anyway.

There was a rebel radio station out of Gilroy, Ca. in the 70's I found after moving to Monterey county, never knew what they were going to play or if they were ( fell asleep at the controls before replacements could arrive from Santa Cruz).
They played an interview with Michale Bloomfield (member of Butterfield"s Band) after his death , don't know when that was. The interviewer was not getting the type of life these guys led. Bloomfield was saying how they started in Ci-town rough section, predominately black then but were excepted for their sound. Example how bad this area was, a guy came in and slammed his womans head on the bar ( preceding some horrible confrontation) and said give this bitch a beer. The interviewer was at a lose for words momentarily, then asked, "wow, did he hurt her bad"? Bloomfield said, "your not getting it, he brought in a severed head and slammed it up on the bar"

Can you imagine, think they kept playing???

Nah not ATM just learning the basics online, theres a huge amount of information and online lessons obviously theres no substitute for one to one lessons that was one of the reasons I never picked it up back then no internet no other way learn but lessons, £15 per lesson per week that was like 14 years ago or something I only got £4.50 per week from my paper round 350 papers rolleyes then I'd have to ask parents to pay the rest which wasnt an option then, nothing stopping me now I need someone to point out the little mistakes I'm making before they become bad habits, need an electric guitar also :D

Great pick augie, I saw and met George at a small bar in Portland on one of their early tours....We had a table on the dance floor and were the closet ones to the stage. He started talking to us while playing and sat and had a couple beers with us during a break. The bar was sposed to be cleared for the second show but the managers thought we were frwiends of his and we got to see both shows. One of my best concerts.
