Doesn't Windows Media Player allow you to burn/convert MP3s to CD format?

Hey tux thanks for the reply, but i don't use WMP (it has been comlpetely removed) it has too many bad habbits for my liking.

Anyone know of a 3rd party app' that will do it?

    Thanks

    Nevermind; emergency over :p

    I found this... http://www.burn4free.com/

Its got a horrible look and feel to it [it does a lot more than just CD] but it is as simple as drag 'n' drop then click burn.

    Hi Q

Know you have an app now but this is one I use CDBurnerXP (works with XP, Vista and Win7) Features List

Maybe worth a play with if you have a spare moment.

Quick and easy? Try BURRRRN. It will convert most audio formats to standard CD and will burn it for you, and it's total 100% freeware. Just remember to burn audio slowly, as faster burns tend to not sound as good, at least in my opinion. I burn audio at 16x max, usually 8x. Here's the BURRRRN link:

    Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

    :-D

(BTW- most CD burning programs have an audio CD creator built-in: Nero, Roxio, NTI, BurnAware, CDburnerXP, DeepBurner, ExpressBurn, Final Burner, etc etc; everything I listed after NTI is freeware)

    Doh!

I amaze myself sometimes, i already have that prog' installed from helping "scottportraits" with his problem over it not recognising his optical drive.

And i've got to say i much prefer this GUI over the other, and performance is just as nippy.

Thank you very much Halo mate :)

EDIT: thanks dlb i'll have a look at those too.

I was aware that others do it too, infrarecorder for example does it (i love that prog') but i tried it and it seemed to go well but the disc wasnt recognised by any of my *stand alone* players, so i just assumed ther was something in the settings that needed adjusting, had a look, got a lil bit confused, and came running for help

I do understand and appreciate the extra options are probably very useful to peopel who care, but when it comes to stuff like this i am just so un-interested i really cant bring myself to get my head round it, and i say a lil thank you for "drag and drop" - "click and go" app's like those.

    Thanks

No probs Q, I was just thinking an all in one type app that burns, rips etc is better than a few that do different things, unless the alternates do the job better, but I find CDBurnerXP a great free tool, so much so as its licence is for business use we asked the dev if ok to use and we have it as default software build of the PCs.
