    hi guys!
i am very new in this music editing software.

I wanna make music just only using exiting samples from cd ,mp3,loops ,etc... I am not gonna record any tracks nor gonna use any external midi devices.
someone recomended me adobe audition3. and told me to get a sound card supporting asio. my labtop has conexant hd sound card.

my question is what is the good easy to use software to do basic editing without recording . and do I still need asio supporting sound card.

    please

I am not an expert with recording sound or music, but there are free programs that should be OK, a favorite of some friends of mine is the Kristal Audio Engine. Give it a go! You can also take a look at Wavosaur and Audacity. Both are also free, and are hosted here at Major Geeks. Due to some recent server trouble, the versions here at MajorGeeks are a bit outdated (MG had to use an older backup I assume), but the links I provided are to the most recent releases.
    Good luck!
    :-D
