i went through the first step, it requires a one-time membership fee; 1 year, 2 year, or unlimited. $35 for unlimited songs and stuff seems pretty good but who knows if its actually legitimate or not...

You said it in the thread title bb, too good to be true... Hmm, strange as how they don't link to the CNN/Google etc. stories. I did a quick check and there are no stories about them on those channels. Go figure!rolleyes

I find it suspect that they want you to pay for the service. That is what got Napster in trouble in the first place, a P2P service making $$ for doing that. Dunno how Limewire works, but they do... ah well, perosonally, not going anywhere near someone that wants me to pay for what I can get for free....... kinda like some other parts of life y'know?? LOL

This is Limewire in disguise. I purchased it thinking it was a lagitimate download site and when it was finished installing I seen it looked awefully familiar. Sure enough it looked just like Limewire, I was disappointed and I think it's fraud the way they advertise it.

If your gonna download bootleg/pirate music, why pay a one off price when its all free elsewhere?
