Is there a way to attach a .wav file to an eMail in a way where the music plays automatically?

i would have to say, only if the same can be done with HTML, and if it can, you would do it the same way.

Could you elaborate; I don't know how to do what you describe with HTML.
I plan to invite some friends to watch the Kentucky Derby, in about a month, and I thought I would like to have "My Old Kentucky Home" playing as part of the invitation.

I have received eMails that play music, but only as forwarded messages, so I can't find out how it was done.

    Any/all help would be appreciated!

Some email programs can easily embed a sound file, some can't. Outlook Express can easily. From the top menu click on Format/Background/Sound and you can add a sound file, and choose to play it once, or to repeat continually.

Keep in mind that adding a midi file will be fairly small (better for email), and adding an mp3 file will make for a large download if any of your recipients are on dial-up. But either will work.

Make sure you're creating an html email, as this won't work with a plain text email.
