Music Match Jukbox: tag question

Hi, I'm running MMJB 7.0 with Windows 2000. I decided to rip all of my cds to my hard drive (100 GB) without an internet connection. I manually typed in the file name for each track. (I probably should have waited until I got my internet connection, I know.) My question is, can I view the tracks in the playlist by their respective filenames and not their tagged info? If not is there a database like CDDB that can recognize mp3 files and tag them correctly?

No. When a music track is in MusicMatch it is either named from the filename or the tagged name. You can't have a track in the MY LIBRARY be named differently than the same track in the playlist.

I think that is what you were asking.

As for tagging them correctly, what do you mean? If you are connected to the internet you can use the SUPER TAGGING option. If you have the right version you can.

 

Thanks for replying. Sorry it took so long for me to respond. When I drag and drop an MP3 into the PLAYLIST it displays the actual filename (ex: "Street_Spirit") for a split second and then switches to the TAG info which is "Uknown." I don't really care at this point about the "MY LIBRARY" window, just the PLAYLIST window. I don't have internet access on that computer so I can't get the info on the web yet. For the time being I just wanted to have the playlist display the file name so when I glance at the screen I can see the name, not "unknown."
