    I understand that sights like Bearshare and Limewire are free and legal. I had been using Bearshare to download music (mp3 format) but I've found out it's really not safe and I've taken it off my computer. Is there another safe, free, site to download music from that's compatible with itunes?

    Hi the software Bearshare and Limewire are legal, however the sites and p2p groups you download music and other items off are a grey legal minefield, you just takes your chance at downloading something via these routes,


    Majorgeeks does not condone potential illegal downloading of music we dont help as to whats good to get music off unless its a fully legal site like iTunes , Napster etc

    musicovery.com lot's of good stuff there for free, you need a downloader like Download Helper for Firefox. Also, you'll have to tag your own files as they come down as 18553.mp3 for example.
