Must have programs

Would appreciate some opinions on must have programs that are essential for peak performance with a computer.

I have Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, Spywareblaster, AVG AV, RegCleaner, Reg Scrub XP, and CCleaner.

I'm running Windows XP and have IE 6. Thanks for any help.

 

Looks like you have everything that is recommeded!

 

Firefox is a great alternative to IE6 and Thunderbird to Outlook Express

not to be harsh, just making a point fellas . . . all of the above are CRAP without a defragmented harddrive (i have all th above mentioned too though, except for the registry stuff - tried them and thew em away - see below )

diskeeper lite works wonders for defragging


ALSO

startup inspecter for windows - works like a charm -

and for registry i swear RegSupreme is the ONLY thing i'd consider spending money on . . . try it and you'll throw away the two you are using - cannot beat the speed and accuracy of RegSupreme - but it IS 12.95 - ur choice

for additional virus/spyware protection . . . A squared is a great program as well, also look into stinger or avast antivirus - better to run two than one and all these are light programs to catch anything that avg misses
