must have some sort of spyware...

    hi. someone has been breaking into my email accounts after i repeatedly change the passwords and secret question answers. i do keep a log of all my passwords on my computer, but its in a hidden folder, and i change the name of it as well. i'm not sure exactly how this is happening. also, and this is more recent, when i do a search on yahoo, i get like 2 or 3 "extra" links on each search page, but they are always the same for each individual search. like... i have my browser set to 10 search results a page, but i'll get 13, and 3 of them are the same every time i goto the next set of searches. i have a hijack this log if anyone wants to look at it. thanx in advance...

    sorry... forgot to add this info. i have already ran adaware, cwshredder, and a few other programs. my comp info is: PIV 1.7 Gigs, 512 Megs 2700 DDR Ram, Radeon 7500 all-in-wonder video card (upgrading soon! don't yell at me!), m-audio 24/96 sound card, MSI 645 Ultra motherboard. thanx again.

    i have an unregistered version of anti-keylogger 5.3 but that still wouldn't explain the weird search results on yahoo. are there any free anti-keyloggers out there that actually work??

    Have you run ALL the steps and in the order given in this thread: < READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal >

    If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

    You may also want to give the items in the Alternate Scan section a run. After this if you still have a problem, you should read the tutorial in this Sticky thread NO HIJACK THIS LOG FILES BEFORE READING THIS: HJT Tutorial & LOG File Posting

    Now post a HijackThis as a .txt file attachment to your message. All running programs should be closed, including your web browser, e-mail, items in the tray, anything you can close... Close before running Hijack This!

    Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder or choose run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file. Place it in its own folder, for example C:\Program Files\HJT

    hey... i fooled around with registry a bit, and got the searches working properly. still worried about the keylogger or whatever it is... i did a complete scan with norton, adaware, and spycop, and spybot. Also did the CCleaner and CWShredder and nothing came up out of any of them. Did the Hijack This again, deleted a couple things, nothing spyware related tho. any other suggestions?

    ok, i ran them all again, in order... just for verification. nothing new found. the other program is SpyCop, not spyware cop.
