must restart to use printer

I have a epson stylus 860 printer hooked up to a Gateway pc with win vista. When I try to print anything, it sends it to que and then just sits there, if I restart the computer it then prints it fine. I can then go on and print other things fine, but if I come back later it must be restarted again. I'm thinking that when it goes to sleep, and then I wake it up, it doesn't "wake up" the printer for lack of a better way to put it. Is there an ez fix?

 

Go into Device Manager...Usb Hub Properties...Power Management (tab)
and make sure the save power has not been selected

Thanks for the reply, I could only find a power management tab in the ones called usb root hub, but none of those had an X in the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
