Elitegroup is crap.....Id get a new mobo when you can ......Have you tryed resetting the bios jumper ?? I know some systems wont boot when its set to the clear cmos position other then that i donno the mobo should set every thing to stock timings/speed on its own..... but iv seen ECS/ elitegroup (same thing) mobos that that dont set speeds right on thare own.........

Dont know your board but check the site if they have one make sure your bios revision and chipset support your cpu,you may need to flash your bios in order for the cpu to work,in that case borrow a slower cpu and flash"I dont have a friend with a 755 cpu I could rip out"or RMA and get new mobo.failing that swap out the parts for known working ones, using the proccess of elimination to find the duff part.

A couple more things to try-make sure you plugged in the 4 pin atx plug next to the cpu socket-take the harddrive out untill you manage to get into bios or take the whole lot out of case put on antistatic bag and try.

    good luck!

Had tons of problems with ECS (ELITEGROUP) mobo's. In my opinon they are complete Crap..I got one in a deal with a p4 prescott. I didn't even bother opening the box. Just took the prossesor. Last two I owned fried themselves before their second bios loads...recommend deep sixing the mobo and going with asus or any other board if you can.
