My CDROM is possessed

lately my cdrom has been opening and closing endlessly while my computer is on. ive searched online, and some people say its a trojan, others say its a hardware problem. ive checked for both and nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. ive done every single virus/spyware/trojan check i could get my hands on, and nothing came up that fixed my problem.

This has happen to a friends it was that open/close button was acting up.

to check this just tap on the cd-rom if it close and open everytimes you tape on your cd-rom then is that.....

If not do you have anothers cd-rom that you can check if it do the same thing ???

i remember having a similar problem, but it was because my computer crashed during install of something that was on 2 cd's, it crashed right as it was asking to insert the next cd, but it was on winME, i don't think the same thing could happen in winxp...your log seems ok, prob a hardware issue, maybe a stuck eject button...and holy water only works if you yell prayers in latin at the same time
