My Com shuts down on its own while playing game

My Com shuts down while playing Kane & Lynch 2 and Mafia 2 however when using it to do internet surfing, you tube, streaming or playing other games its ok.
I wonder wat happened?

First of all is this a recent problem? If so can you remember what you may have changed that might have caused it such as:

* Moving your PC (to a place it might get less air).
* Changed/Replaced any Hardware.
* Installed any new Drivers.
* Had a series of Blue screen errors (unresolved).

I'd be inclined to think along the lines of either heat, registry errors or Power issues (Power Supply). I've dealt with both heat & power supply related issues on my own PC & with a member here, a couple now I guess :celebrate

If you could download Speccy that'll help you monitor various temps for a start. You should be looking out for high temps, the HDD's shouldn't be above 40C under load, the GPU shouldn't be 100C or over under load & I'm not sure about Intel CPU's but I'd say 80C+ is too much (might wanna verify that one though as I am used to AMD's). I think that your motherboard wouldn't be very happy above 45C too & if you can touch the find your PSU & feel if that's hot or exhausting very hot air too & let us know that'd help. *:eek*Warning*:eek* Please remember to ground yourself by touching the chassis (the side panel will do too) of the PC before touching the PSU, even the outside... just in case
