    Hello,

My computer is not loading up correctly. When the "welcome" screen appears, it restarts itself. I can't even access safe mode. I replaced the RAM module (30 dollars), PCI graphics card (45 dollars), ran chkdsk /r in Recovery Console, but the inconvenience persists. What is happening? Do I need to buy a new computer?

    Thanks.

    Welcome to Major Geeks.

This sounds like a potential hard drive issue. CHKDSK is problematic and will not catch all HDD problems.

If you have a bootable CD or flash drive (such as Linux), use the "F12" key at startup to choose it as a boot device. If the PC boots OK using this method, it points even more to the HDD as the issue.

If you have another HDD available, try installing it and reloading Windows. If it loads and starts properly you have solved the problem.

    Hope this helps. :)

    I appreciate the two responses.

Yesterday, I bought and installed a new HDD. Everything seems to work fine, now. I thank you!
