My computer won't recognize me under my normal IP.

I am having a serious problem with my computer.

It started about a week ago with it going slow. I rebooted it a few times and it helped. Then about 3 days ago some sites I just couldn't get on to. At least not through IE. FF seemed to be OK at that time. So I know it isn't my connections.

Today it has gone real screwy with now no internet access unless I use the mask IP hardware I have on ( hide IP). For some reason this site is ok and the only one so far using IE. If I go "norma IP" I get can't find server page on almost all sites but activating the IP change hardware I am fine on those sites except hotmail which won't recognize the masked IP and I can't access with a normal IP.:confused

A friend thought it was Adware and I downloaded a scan Ad ware program called Lavasoft Ad Ware and it seemed to have found and gotten rid of some bad stuff but now NO sites can be accessed under normal IP usage ( except this one.....so far.

I am at my wits end as to what is wrong.

Any suggestions?

 

Now what is weird is that that I can now post under my normal IP. I have windows 2000 professional and IE 6.

So anyone have ANY idea why this seems to be an on/off thing?
