My connection goes down regularly

I'm having a connection problem I think and I don't think its because my internet service provider since I got 2 computers in a network and the other computer does not have the same problem. It all started after I upgraded my F-secure from 2007 to 2008.
The problem is that once every hour the connection shuts down for a few seconds which leads to me being disconnected from Age of Conan, skype or any website. I have got the firewall connected in f-secure but made exceptions for age of conan and skype. I got windows xp but do not run the windows firewall.

Anyone got any ideas

as a test, you could disable the f-secure firewall, and/or shut down your security suite, for a bit, to see if it helps or not. just make sure you turn it back on afterwards. sos
